// In 30 seconds, in plain English

Not in aviation?
Here’s what we actually do.

The rest of the site goes deep on the technical detail because that’s what our customers ask for. If you’re forwarding this to a colleague who isn’t a fleet engineer — start here.

  1. // step 01

Airlines need to change things on their aircraft.

New cockpit screens. Refurbished cabins. Satellite Wi-Fi. Repairs after a hard landing. Swapping out radios because the regulator changed the rules.

  2. // step 02

Every change needs paperwork the regulator accepts.

You can't just bolt something to a passenger aircraft. Each modification needs an engineering case, test evidence and a stamped approval — proving the aircraft is still safe to fly.

  3. // step 03

Cobalt is one of the few independent shops licensed to do both.

We design the modification and issue the regulatory approval ourselves, under our own EASA licence — so operators don't have to wrangle a vendor, a sub-vendor, and an authority desk.

Every compliance mandate,
plotted on a live radar.

CPDLC. ADS-B v2. TCAS 7.1. ELT(DT). NVIS HEMS. They’re all coming, and they all land before 2027. We built the Mandate Radar so the operators we work with never wake up to an AOG-by-rulemaking. Click a contact, see what Cobalt would do, get a lead time and a programme cost before you pick up the phone.
